Key point to discuss with a parent/guardian
The benefits of finding and treating TB early outweigh the possible harms of taking treatment.
If the parent/guardian has concerns, it is better to talk together to the doctor/nurse.

Treatment
The dose of the antibiotic will be adjusted based on the child’s weight.
For small children, it can be helpful to crush up their pills and mix them with juice or yogurt.
If a parent/guardian is doing this at home, it is good to remind them that the antibiotics should be eaten soon after being crushed and mixed.
