What is it
Screening is when people are asked to take part in being tested for Active TB, and sometimes for Latent TB, even though they might not have any symptoms.
Screening is VOLUNTARY but recommended.
Screening is a big way that the whole community can work together to end TB!

Benefits of Screening
It protects the person’s health and the health of their loved ones.
It protects the community from greater spread of TB.
For Community Screening: It helps the nurses and Public Health better understand TB in your village. This information can be used to get more resources and supports to end TB.
As the PHO, you can remind someone selected for screening that everyone needs to work together to get rid of TB in your village.
Remember! It’s better to find out early if you have TB because usually:
Treatment is less pills.
Treatment is a shorter time.
Less time being sick.
Not as sick from TB.
